To add a bit of background to my blog, about 6 years ago I used to do NO exercise and weighed 18 1/2 Stone (260 lbs or 117 Kg).

The Pirates started out a few years ago to prove that anyone with some endurance training and sensible training could complete an Ironman without having to be a full time athlete. They compete in numerous races around the world and have a very distinctive kit, yellow and black with skull and crossbones on.
