Health Problems Related to the G33k Lifestyle
This is a personal one for me. Luckily for me, I instruct about 8 classes per week which help immensely with computer overuse aches and pains. I find I only suffer when I skip a few classes, or if I am inactive for more than 3 days in a row. I spend between 8-12 hours per day on a computer and I suffer from insomnia (I had insomnia before I owned a computer so I cannot blame the disorder on my computers), right hand, right forearm, right arm and right shoulder stiffness and I think my eyesight is dissipating fast!
Things that help include stretching (both neural and muscular stretches), resistance training and cardio activity. Ensure that your workstation is ergonomic, and keep both shoulder blades back and down.
