Body Sculpting & Weight Training During Pregnancy

Exercising whilst pregrant is a really good thing and there are several benefits…but don’t go into it without consulting your health professionals, especially if you have not exercised regularly prior to the pregnancy.  The first trimester is a crucial stage regarding exercise and pregnancy.

All exercise programs should be reviewed by a professional prior to commencing and always consult your doctor.  If you have not exercised regularly prior to your pregnancy it is best to see your doctor or OBGYN, you may be in a high risk category which will mean that you need to rest and avoid pumping that iron.

Hugo Rivera mentions the benefits of exercising during pregnancy - I do recommend exercise, with the aforementioned cautions but I recommend against body building whilst pregnant, there are several other types of exercises that can be done, including a lot of resistance training which can be just using the body weight or light weights which are beneficial.
